Key Stage Two Modern Foreign Languages Day; Italy!

posted 29 Oct 2015, 04:24 by James Dorey

As part of the Modern Foreign Languages curriculum for Key Stage 2, our students have spent a day learning all about Italy.

The students began their day by watching professional pizza chefs throwing and spinning the pizza dough. The students thought this was great fun! We then had a go at preparing our own pizzas, focussing on our safety and hygiene skills as well as making some delicious food!

Later in the day, the students gathered for a fancy dress party, where they listened to ‘Pinnocchio’, the Italian Opera as well as some modern dance music. The students enjoyed listening to the music, dancing and taking part in traditional party games.

To end the day, the students participated in Italian flag activities. They looked for Italian flags hidden around the school, and created their own flags (listening to the colours in Italian as they worked).

A fun and educational day to end the half term!
