TESCO ‘BAGS OF HELP’ SCHEME

posted 8 Dec 2016, 05:43 by James Dorey
We recently applied to the Tesco "Bags of Help" scheme, with Groundwork UK to develop our outside spaces. After being shortlisted to the final three projects, this went to the public voting stage in our local Tesco Stores.

We were delighted to have received the highest number of votes, which meant we won the fantastic amount of £12,000.

School campus will be receiving a large wooden shelter with seating for the school field, which will prove valuable in all weather conditions. Key Stage 2 will be receiving a large, covered sand pit, some sensory wall panels, chalkboards, giant building blocks and garden games.

College Campus will be receiving a new trim trail, a replacement resources shed, scooters and giant garden games.

This grant will make such a difference to all our children and young people. This will help them with their social interaction, focus when they return to their classrooms and most importantly, they will have lots of fun when using it all!

These resources will all be arriving during the Spring term. Our sincerest thanks go to Tesco, Groundwork UK and all the customers who took the time to vote for Columbus.
